I created this blog because...

Today I went to Shoewoo, a cute little shoe store at Easton Town Center. I found the cutest pair of knee high, high heeled boots. This isn't the first time I found a pair of boots that I loved... but when I went to try them on, the zipper got aboout 3/4 high and would not budge any farther. It was so hard not to tear up...
This is the last straw for me...
I am 22 years old, 5'6'' and should not weigh 182lbs... In four years, I have gained 35 pounds. ew.
Yes, I said it... I admitted it so the entire world can see.
I've been hitting the gym 3 days/week for 3 weeks now... but I am already finding that I am getting bored with my routine.

This is my online journal.. of the struggle to meet my goal this year. My goal is to lose 20lbs to weigh 162lbs. I hope you will blog with me and show me the motivation, courage, and support I need to succeed.


  1. We're the same height, and nearly the same weight ... so I really understand how you feel in terms of weight. Making the effort to do something about it is huge.

    Regarding your boredom with the gym -- does your gym offer any classes you could take? Are you working out alone? These two things could help you beat the boredom. What else? Try some fun workout videos as a supplement -- there are some fabulous dance ones out there. And if you don't want to buy, then check them out of your local library or stick 'em in your Netflix queue.

    You're so sweet! Thank you for taking the time to help! I work out at our local ymca by myself. I have tried recruiting friends, but our schedules conflict so badly.
    I have been doing 3-4 days per week. I do 30 mins on the elliptical and then do a circuit of weights for about 10-15 mins.
    I love my workout as it burns about 400 calories, however I am starting to get bored.

    I am going to try my first workout class today, I think one of my "gym" days this week, I will skip out and do an at home video. I have Jillian Michaels 30 day shred, and it kills me everytime! haha
